Climate change is the process in which the composition
of climatic elements in the
atmosphere change undesirably and it results in the destruction of
ecosystem and poses a grave threat to the existence of mankind. This
composition changes when human beings burn fossil fuels which causes
emission of carbon dioxide and other
green house gases. Resultantly the
climate becomes unsuitable for the human beings and other species.

|
Since the Industrial Revolution (around
1750), human activities have substantially added to the amount of
heat-trapping greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The burning of fossil
fuels and biomass (living matter such as vegetation) has also resulted in
emissions of aerosols that absorb and emit heat, and reflect light. |
